Institut Aurora Chess Club
This year, we added chess as a new after-school activity with the well-known motto “mens sano in corpore sane” in mind. The goal was to strengthen teamwork and cultivate critical thinking abilities. What began as a small-scale investigation into this tactics and strategies of chess grew into something more significant. Our team performed flawlessly in games against multiple schools. To our astonishment, one of our players who participated in the national world championship qualifying was chosen to represent DRC at the world tournament, which will be held in Italy in June. A huge thank you to him.
Celebrating Africa Day at Institut Aurora
Our Preschool learners joyfully celebrated Africa Day through a vibrant display of culture, tradition, and unity. Dressed in beautiful African-inspired outfits and colorful traditional attire, the children proudly showcased the richness and diversity of African heritage. The day was filled with smiles, creativity, and excitement as our little ones embraced the spirit of Africa through fashion, music, and cultural expression. Beyond the celebration, the event served as an opportunity for our learners to appreciate identity, diversity, and the beauty of different cultures from a young age. At Institut Aurora, we believe in nurturing confident, culturally aware, and globally minded learners while encouraging pride in our African roots. Institut Aurora at KINMUN 2026
Developing Future Leaders Through Diplomacy and Global Engagement Institut Aurora proudly participated in KINMUN 2026 at TASOK, where our students represented their member states in dynamic debates within the Security and Human Rights Councils. Despite it being their first Model United Nations experience, our delegates demonstrated impressive confidence, teamwork, critical thinking, and diplomatic spirit throughout the conference. Several of their resolutions were even unanimously passed, reflecting their preparation and collaboration. A special highlight of the event was the final day’s cultural celebration under the theme “Your Favorite Culture,” where African heritage was proudly showcased alongside cultures from around the world. KINMUN 2026 provided our students with a valuable opportunity to strengthen their leadership, public speaking, negotiation, and global awareness skills while connecting with students from diverse backgrounds. A Celebration of Teamwork, Talent, and School Spirit
Institut Aurora recently hosted an exciting Inter-Class Football Tournament, bringing together students, staff, and families for a memorable day of football, teamwork, and celebration. Inspired by the spirit of the FIFA World Cup, students proudly represented their teams with determination, discipline, and school spirit. Throughout the tournament, learners showcased outstanding talent, teamwork, and sportsmanship while supporters filled the campus with energy and excitement. The event concluded with a special award ceremony where our young champions proudly received medals and trophies in recognition of their efforts and achievements. Beyond the competition, the tournament promoted leadership, unity, confidence, and healthy collaboration among our students — values that remain at the heart of Institut Aurora.
