Inside Airtel: Connecting a Nation — Institut Aurora Field Trip

Our students visited Airtel for a behind-the-scenes look at how a telecom connects millions of people every day. From network basics (cell towers, fiber optics, and switching) to real-world services (SIM activation, customer care, and mobile payments), learners saw technology, teamwork, and problem-solving in action. Engineers shared stories of keeping the network reliable, walking us through uptime, cybersecurity, and the skills needed for future STEM careers. Beyond the tech, students practiced asking sharp questions, explored workplace culture, and picked up practical tips on digital safety and responsible device use. Huge thank-you to the Airtel team for opening your doors and inspiring our young innovators.
Le Parc de la Vallée de la N’Sele Field trip

Our Students enjoyed an unforgettable field trip to the Parc de la Vallée de la N’Sele.. In a beautiful natural setting just outside Kinshasa, they rotated through safe, supervised activities while discovering the park’s wildlife and gardens. Beyond the fun, the day reinforced teamwork, confidence, and respect for the environment. Our learners encouraged one another, took on new challenges, and returned inspired by what they saw and accomplished.
U14 Double Victory for Institut Aurora at TASOK

Our U14 squads delivered a weekend to remember at TASOK—with both the girls’ and boys’ teams winning the tournament and lifting the trophy. From sharp passing and high-press defense to cool finishes in front of goal, the teams showed maturity beyond their years and a togetherness that lit up every match. Just as impressive as the results was the spirit on display: teammates encouraging one another, captains leading with composure, and coaches guiding every play with purpose. Thank you to our hosts for a well-run event and to all supporters who cheered from the sidelines. We return home proud, trophies in hand, and hungry for the next challenge.
SAA (service as action)(2025-2026)

May 31, 2025, Service as action is a foundational element of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP). It seeks to develop caring members of the community who act to make a positive difference to the lives of others and their environment. Service as action requires students to engage with their local community through community or personal projects and provides opportunities for students to explore, design, implement, and reflect on their efforts to positively impact their local environment. Through service as action experiences, students learn the value of community participation and gain a deeper understanding of the issues facing their immediate surroundings.
